A week after his controversial touchdown celebration, Packers running back Josh Jacobs has broken his silence over the fresh allegations of domestic abuse he’s facing.
And while it’s unclear if the Green Bay star had a slip of the tongue or was making an unfortunate joke, Jacobs didn’t do himself many favours with his comments.
“I mean honestly, everything my lawyers said in the statement, it’s one of those things where I’m going to lean on that,” Jacobs told reporters Wednesday. “But it’s just one of those things where anything can be said and people are just gonna run with it, and I can’t really change how you feel.
“At the end of the day, I know what I have, on my part, so it’s just one of those things where it’s unfortunate, especially for me, just being in this position.”
Jacobs said he’s just trying to process the situation before uttering an unfortunate turn of phrase in the locker room.

“Eventually, it will come a time where we can put out facts and things like that, and we’ll see if it even matters to do that when that time comes.
“If not, you’ve got to just roll with the punches.”
What allegations does Josh Jacobs face?
After missing the first six games of the season after being placed on the NFL Commissioner’s Exempt List, Jacobs remains under investigation by the league over an alleged domestic incident involving his then-girlfriend earlier this year. The woman claimed Jacobs allegedly threw her to the ground and destroyed her phone.
The NFLer was arrested on May 23 and later pleaded no contest to two misdemeanor charges – battery and criminal damage to property.
Last week, Jacobs new allegations of abuse by three other women were revealed which occurred during his time with the Las Vegas Raiders.
Jacobs remains an active member of the Packers and said that he doesn’t anticipate any further discipline from the NFL.
“No, not at all. Like I said, with all the evidence we have and they have, at this point, it’s not one of those things where I’m sitting back on my hands like, ‘OK, am I going to play this week.'” he said.
“I kind of already know what it is, so it’s really just up to them to make their final decision. But I’m not worried about feeling like I’m going to miss any more time than I already have.”
