Chief Daniel Osi Orbih, a prominent figure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has died, his family announced in a statement released on Tuesday.
The Orbih family described his passing as “a profound loss borne with heavy hearts but in total submission to the will of Almighty God.”
The statement, signed by Francis Udukhomoi Orbih, Esq., confirmed that Orbih died on Monday, August 31, 2026.A close ally of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike, Orbih was widely respected within PDP circles.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Orbih; his daughters, Ms. Winifred Anwosiobor Orbih and Dr. Mildred Omonemi Orbih; as well as siblings and extended family members.
The family appealed for prayers and support from friends, relatives, and well-wishers as they mourn his loss.
Funeral arrangements, they noted, will be communicated in due course.Orbih’s death marks the end of a significant chapter in PDP politics, with tributes expected from party members and associates across the country.
