One person was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries following a shooting inside a Richmond Hill home on Sunday morning.

York Regional Police said that officers responded to the Leslie St.-William F. Bell Pwy. at about 4 a.m.

Police said the suspects fled the area following the shooting.

There was no immediate threat to the public. However, police said residents could expect a “large police presence” while the investigation continues.

Suspect sought for 32 vehicle break-ins: Peel cops

An unidentified suspect is being sought following 32 vehicle break-ins in Mississauga.

Peel Regional Police said the break-ins happened in the area of Alpha Mills Rd., Falconer Dr. and Plainsman Rd.

Cops said that on Sept. 3 between 3 a.m. and 3:30 a.m., the suspect unlawfully entered dozens of vehicles in the area by smashing windows or accessing unlocked vehicles.

Police said multiple valuables were stolen. All vehicles were unoccupied at the time and no vehicles were stolen.

The suspect is described as a white man, about 30 years old, with a medium build. He was wearing a jacket with POLO written on the back collar, joggers and two-tone coloured shoes with a white sole and a backpack.

2 taken to hospital following e-bike battery blaze

Two people were transported to hospital for minor smoke inhalation following an e-bike battery fire.

Toronto Police said they were called at 11:23 a.m. on Sunday to the St. Clair Ave. W.-Bathurst St. area.

Cops said there was no structural damage to the buildings.

Victim critical, suspect cuffed after Mississauga stabbing

Police in Peel Region said that one person is in custody, while another suspect is being sought after a stabbing left an individual critically injured on Sunday in Mississauga.

Peel Regional Police said they were called to the Main and Dundas Sts. area at 5:30 p.m. and an individual was transported to a trauma centre.

Police said in an update late Sunday night that the stabbing was an “isolated incident” with no ongoing threat to the public’s safety.

They said a female suspect remained at large and that she is Hispanic, in her mid-30s and about 5-foot-4 with blond/brown hair.
