I need some fresh eyes on this room because I feel like I’ve been staring at it for so long that I can’t see the best solution anymore. 😂

The biggest issue is the TV placement. We have a large TV that needs to be wall-mounted, and I’m struggling with where it should go without making the room feel awkward or sacrificing the beautiful view out the large window.

A little background:
The fireplace is (almost) centered on the main wall. It’s behind where the TV currently sits.

There are attached bookshelves on either side of the fireplace that I’m willing to modify or remove if necessary…They are not even in width or height. I’m also willing to remove the mantel.

The door on the right goes into the dining room.

The large window on the left has a really beautiful view, so I don’t want to block or compromise it.

We recently ordered a large warm ivory/cream chenille sofa, and I’m planning to add two comfy chairs and a rug.

I’ve considered putting it on the right side of the fireplace and removing the bookshelves, but I’m worried about how that would affect the room and viewing angles. I would like to view the TV from the kitchen, which is opposite the fireplace.

I’ve included several photos so you can see the room from different angles. I’m happy to provide measurements if that would help.

Thank you!! I desperately need some outside opinions before I make any more furniture/design decisions. 😂
