After being named in the starting XI for Leeds United’s Premier League encounter with Brentford, Brenden Aaronson is expecting a tough challenge against the Bees.
The Whites kickstarted the new campaign with a victory at Nottingham Forest last weekend, before picking up another win at the City Ground in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening.
“We are super excited,” the American international said after checking in at Elland Road. “We know the atmosphere is going to be amazing.
“This has probably been my fourth time playing here on opening day and this is like an unmatched atmosphere, so we are really excited.
“Brentford are a top team. They have started the season amazingly. I think we have had a great start to season too but it is going to be a very tough game.
“Their intensity, the way they play, it is kind of like us in a way. We play with a high intensity so it needs to be a ferocious game. We are looking forward to getting after it.
“It is always amazing when you can start the first game day, especially in away game in this league, and get the three points.
“Now we are home, we want to make this our fortress again this season. We are really looking forward to this season and playing at home.”
