Protests have broken out in Austin, Texas, after a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer shot and wounded a man during a traffic stop. The man remains in serious but stable condition in hospital, while anti-ICE protesters quickly gathered at the scene. Austin’s police chief said local officers were not involved in the shooting.
