Georgia appears to be the current hotspot for new automotive plants with the announcement confirming Audi’s new $4 billion plant should be up and running in the Peach State by 2030.

It joins Hyundai’s plant near Savannah, as well as Rivian’s site in north Georgia as the latest job generators in the state. However, Audi’s plant is part of a larger shift to either relocate production of vehicles back to the U.S. Ford, General Motors, Honda, Toyota, Nissan, and others have all made commitments to expand their production base in the U.S.

The question is: Why? Are President Donald Trump’s tariffs making an impact? Is he responsible for this shift in vehicle production by existing automakers as well as new plants on the rise? More importantly, is it worth the cost in rising vehicle prices and other prices? Let us know!
