Follow us on Google NewsRipple is continuing its institutional blockchain progress in real estate with a new partnership with CryptEscrow, a U.S. compliant crypto settlement solution provider.
The collaboration aims to make high-value property purchases easier for buyers holding crypto while keeping traditional closing participants inside familiar fiat-based workflows.
Ripple and CryptEscrow Build a Crypto-to-Real Estate BridgeCryptEscrow functional layer between the digital assets and the real estate payments. Instead of requiring sellers, developers, title companies or other parties to handle cryptocurrency directly, buyers can use crypto while settlement proceeds move through regulated fiat channels.
Ripple’s financial infrastructure, available on its blockchain, encompasses payments, custody, treasury operational products and more than that. The partnership will allow for more sizable transactions without compromising compliance, transparency and security during the transaction, CryptEscrow said.
The positioning is the biggest practical hurdle to buyers buying and selling real estate using cryptocurrencies, as it turns digital currency into money that can pass through traditional closing without requiring anyone to use blockchain tools.

Crypto Holders Can Keep Traditional Closings IntactNo home seller issues a mandate that they accept Bitcoin, XRP or any other digital asset. CryptEscrow comes the other way round, however, as the controlled agent between the buyer’s crypto assets and the fiat settlement system. That means it’s more about the payment and settlement process than about tokenising the property itself.
This is crucial because the agreement ties cryptocurrency funds to actual assets, rather than overhauling the legal or escrow process currently employed in U.S. real estate transactions.
67 Million U.S. Crypto Owners Create a Growing Buyer Base
The businesses are coming into the market amid an increasing role of crypto in consumers’ spending.
CryptEscrow cited National Cryptocurrency Association data estimating that 67 million Americans own cryptocurrency, roughly one in four adults. It also cited Deloitte research indicating that purchases of homes through crypto increased 35% from the previous year.
Our analysis of a Redfin survey in the press announcement showed that one in 12.7 percent of Gen Z and Millennial homebuyers had already sold cryptocurrency for a down payment. These numbers indicate the expanding number of buyers who can be interested in purchasing belongings with crypto wealth, but may still require regulated banking and escrow platforms, alongside conversion.
