This 1983 Porsche 911 Turbo is a rest-of-world coupe that came specified in Paint-to-Sample Anthracite Grey Metallic over a leather-to-sample interior and was imported to Canada in the early 2000s. It underwent over $105k CAD of work after being acquired by the seller in 2025, including rebuilding the flat-six, installing an Evergreen Raptor turbocharger and RarlyL8 Motorsports exhaust, and increasing displacement to 3.4-liters using Mahle pistons and cylinders. The suspension was overhauled and fitted with Bilstein shocks and Sway-A-Way torsion bars, and additional refreshment involved restoring the dashboard, refurbishing the fuel tank and bumpers, installing replacement 16″ Fuchs wheels, and replacing body seals. The car is also equipped with a four-speed manual transaxle, a sunroof, a tea tray rear spoiler, sport seats, and a Blaupunkt CD stereo. This 930 Turbo shows 85k kilometers (~53k miles) and is now offered at no reserve in Canada with the owner’s manual, service records, spare parts, and Alberta registration in the seller’s name.
The car came finished in Paint-to-Sample Anthracite Grey Metallic and was refinished in the early 2000s. Features include a sunroof, a front spoiler, fog lights, dual side mirrors, a tea tray rear spoiler, a rear window wiper, fender stone guards ahead of the rear wheels, and dual exhaust outlets. The bumpers were repainted and fitted with replacement bellows and lenses under current ownership, and the door, hood, windshield, and exterior body seals were replaced.
The staggered-width 16″ Fuchs alloy wheels were installed in 2026, and they are mounted with Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires measuring 205/55 up front and 245/45 out back. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs, and stainless-steel braided lines were installed under current ownership. The suspension was also overhauled, including rebuilding the rear CV axles and installing Bilstein B8 front shocks, Bilstein B6 rear shocks, and Sway-A-Way 21mm front and 27mm rear torsion bars. Components were powder coated, and the ball joints, tie rod ends, wheel bearings, and bushings were replaced.
The car came optioned with a leather-to-sample interior and features Pearl leather sport seats, a black headliner and carpets, and a Blaupunkt CD stereo. The dash was restored by Classic9 Leather Shop of Michigan, and the handles, sill trim, moldings, and pedal pads were renewed.
The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,700-rpm redline as well as a 300-km/h speedometer and gauges for oil level, oil temperature, oil pressure, boost pressure, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 85k kilometers (~53k miles), approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership. An AEM wideband UEGO air/fuel ratio gauge is housed in the center console.
The turbocharged flat-six was rebuilt and increased in displacement to 3.4-liters using Mahle 7.7:1 compression pistons and 98mm cylinders. An Evergreen 3LDZ Raptor turbocharger was installed at that time in addition to ARP rod bolts, Supertec head studs, Elgin 964/3.6 Turbo camshafts, and a TiAL wastegate. The rockers and oil pump were rebuilt by Supertec and Mahle rocker shafts were fitted. Additional work is outlined in the gallery, which also contains photos of compression and leakdown results along with images taken during the rebuild.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. A RarlyL8 Motorsports muffler, headers, heater boxes and oil lines were installed during the build and the fuel tank was refurbished.
