Udinese forward, Nicolò Zaniolo has heaped plaudits on Maduka Okoye after the goalkeeper played a key role in the club's 0-0 draw at Parma.

The Zebras halted their six-game losing streak with an impressive performance at the Stadio Ennio Tardini on Wednesday night.

Okoye played a crucial role for Udinese in the game, saving Adrian Bernabé’s spot-kick in the 69th minute.

It was the 26-year-old's first clean sheet in the Italian top-flight this season.

The shot stopper had conceded 18 goals in nine games before the encounter, having been beaten in each of his previous eight appearances.

Zaniolo labelled Okoye a "fantastic goalkeeper" after the thrilling contest.

"It's not the first time Maduka has saved us. I love him; he's a good person and a fantastic goalkeeper.

"Today, thanks to him, we broke our losing streak and got a point away from home that moves us up the table," Zaniolo told the club's official website.

Kosta Runjaic’s side will now shift attention to their next Serie A clash with AS Roma.
