Seth Rogen and Johnny Knoxville‘s R-rated movie has been released in theaters today. The movie has received mixed reviews from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

Inaugural Entertainment’s Tiny Fugitives is officially out in cinemas across North America starting from September 18, 2026. The movie features Knoxville as Bob, a deranged summer camp lifer counselor to a bunch of 12-year-olds. It is produced by Rogen alongside Evan Goldberg, through their production banner Point Grey Pictures.

At the time of writing this article, Tiny Fugitives has a 58% Tomatometer score on Rotten Tomatoes based on 12 reviews. However, this score could fluctuate as more reviews pour in during its opening weekend theatrical run.

How Johnny Knoxville brings chaos to the camp’s most unforgettable character

Tiny Fugitives is directed by Michael Lewen. The movie’s official synopsis reads, “A reckless group of twelve-year-olds sets out on a mission to spend the rest of their lives at sleep-away camp. They’ll just have to get past Bob — the camp’s deranged, relentless, 50-year-old lifer counselor.”

Knoxville’s character in the movie brings chaos to the camp as he matches the wild energy of the 12-year-olds who view him as the villain. He chases the children in the camp, who do not want to leave. In an interview with Moviefone, the actor shared his views on the movie’s screenplay by saying, “I like when people misbehave. I like when kids misbehave, and swearing is even better. So it was a no-brainer for me.”

The R-rated comedy is co-written by Jacob Kaplan and Lewen. According to Variety, Kaplan wrote the script in 2021, when he worked as a writer’s assistant on Saturday Night Live. This script then went to Lewen, who collaborated on the comedy feature.

Alongside Knoxville, the comedy stars Benjamin Pajak as Jacob Udell, Aaron Harris as Charness, Isa Bernal Steiner as Tali, Jai Soundar as Leon, Alyssa Gervasi as Sophie, and Briana Templeton as Dana.

Other producers include Lia Buman, Josh Fagen, Rob Hammersley, Tim Headington, Christopher Irion, Sonya Novak, Max Silva, and James Weaver.
