Not every person would stop by to help an animal. In fact, as an animal lover, it might be hard to imagine, but the fact is that most people won't stop to save a cat from the street, rescue a dog from a bad owner, or help a wild animal in trouble. This is just how most people would act, and it hurts to hear that if you're an animal lover yourself. But that's what makes animal rescue stories much more wholesome to us - we know we're looking at a like-minded soul who got up and dedicated their time, efforts, and sometimes even money to help an animal who needed them the most.
But that doesn't stop at animals alone. It's another sad truth, but most people won't extend that kindness to other people as well. Most people won't stop for a person in need, just as they won't do for animals. I know it's scary to reach out when a person is at their lowest - they look, act, and sound messy - but sometimes all a person needs is a hand reached out to already be better. And that is especially true for people who need to deal with giving up their pets - I can't imagine ever being in a situation like that with my cat. It sounds horrible.
The fact is that this situation happened to one woman. Her life circumstances and a series of unfortunate happenings made her realize she needs to give up her kitten to the shelter, so he'll have a chance at a better life. Now imagine you see that situation - a woman in need and a kitten in need. These are both situations most people would never stop by and give attention to. Unless you're a person with so much kindness to give, you've even turned it into your career. That's when an infusion nurse stopped and changed the fates of both the woman and the kitten in need.
