Suzuki Motorcycles Philippines has officially unveiled the Suzuki GN160, a recreation motorcycle that blends timeless retro styling, everyday practicality, and reliable performance for Filipino riders.
The neo-retro motorbike was unveiled at the 9th Philippine Moto Heritage Weekend, held at Foro de Intramuros over the weekend. Known as the country’s biggest vintage and classic bike show of the year, the two-day event showcased the rich history and culture of Philippine motorcycling. For the first time, the event—spearheaded by veteran broadcast journalist and Philippine motoring icon Jay Taruc—was staged within the Walled City of Intramuros in the heart of Manila.

Despite the inclement weather, the event drew a lively crowd of motorcycle enthusiasts, industry partners, and spectators, who were treated to a rare display of modern and classic restored models, merchandise, and motorcycle-related art all in one space. The event featured a curated art exhibit from Brixton Art Space showcasing the role of two-wheelers in the country, interpreted in different mediums.

With its tagline ‘Real Man. Real Style,’ the Suzuki GN160 offers a classic look with a modern soul. According to Suzuki, it’s “built for riders who appreciate style, character, and the freedom of the open road.”
Powered by a 162cc fuel-injected engine, it offers comfortable handling, fuel efficiency, and versatility for daily commuting as well as moto tourism for those fond of weekend rides, cafe meetups, and motorcycle lifestyle activities. The SOHC four-stroke, two-valve engine produces up to 14hp and 14.5Nm of torque.

The main appeal is the classic design, upright riding ergonomics, and durable backbone chassis. Given our city traffic and street conditions, the GN160 provides riders with a stylish yet practical motorcycle that’s ideal for mobility, individuality, customization, and recreational riding enjoyment.
Another draw for Filipino riders of all ages is the bike’s manageable 760mm seat height and 178mm ground clearance.

The motorcycle features a telescopic oil-damped front fork and a rear swingarm with dual adjustable oil-damped shocks. Braking is handled by a front disc and a rear drum, with ABS included. A distinctive semi-digital gauge cluster sits in the middle of the upright handlebar.
Other nifty features that riders might find of interest are the LED lighting, the 11-liter fuel tank, and the single-level suede and leather seat. The bike also boasts a concealed helmet hook with a lock plus a 5V 2.1A USB charging port for easy charging on the go.

Suzuki GN160 units come in two classic colorways, Pearlescent Black and Metallic Matte Concrete Gray, though there are countless possibilities when it comes to customization and personalization.
Suzuki Philippines president Koichiro Hirao noted that the GN160 is built for wide applications: from daily utility and farming to city commuting and custom builds, with its 18-inch wheels providing capability across varying terrain.

The Suzuki GN160 has a suggested retail price of P125,000, making it one of the more affordable Japanese-branded neo-retro bikes today. Suzuki Philippines includes a three-year or 30,000-kilometer warranty, whichever comes first.
