Transformers is a franchise that has built-in appeal in more ways than one. Apart from the concept of giant robots transforming into vehicles, there's the fact that two factions of these robots have been engaged in a war that spans millenia. There have been highs (including the grossly underrated Transformers One) and lows (including most of Michael Bay's films), but it's more than likely that we'll be seeing Transformers stories until the heat death of the universe. Netflix is aiming to deliver its own take on another property that features giant robots, and it's tapped Sydney Sweeney to play a leading role in this potential franchise.
