The new movie and TV releases coming to HBO Max from October 19-25, 2026, include Anyone But You, The Invite, and others.

Directed by Will Gluck, Anyone But You is a romantic comedy film based on William Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. It focuses on Ben and Bea, who witness things getting complicated after an amazing first date. Soon, they find themselves attending a destination wedding in Australia. Thus, they must pretend to be a happy couple, leading to twists and turns. The film received mixed reviews from critics but became a box-office success, grossing $220 million worldwide against a $25 million budget. It features Sydney Sweeney, Glen Powell, Alexandra Shipp, GaTa, Hadley Robinson, and many others in key roles. The success of this film was seen as a return of rom-coms to the theatres.

Also coming to HBO Max is the sex-comedy drama The Invite. Directed by Olivia Wilde, the film is an English-language remake of the Spanish film, The People Upstairs. It follows Joe and Angel, whose marriage is on the verge of collapsing. Things take an unexpected turn when they invite their upstairs neighbors for dinner. The film received positive reviews from critics and emerged as a box-office hit. The star cast features Seth Rogen, Olivia Wilde, Penélope Cruz, and Edward Norton in key roles.
