Tanner Richie and Fletcher Kasell, the design duo behind Tanner Fletcher, may both hail from the Midwest (Wisconsin and Minnesota, respectively), but for Spring 2027, they’re headed to the East Coast. The brand unveiled its latest collection during a preview at its Chelsea studio on Monday, an expansive 61-look lineup that marks the second chapter of “Cabin Wear,” which Kasell described as “sort of a brand within a brand” for Tanner Fletcher.
Where the brand’s first Cabin Wear collection centered on “the woodsy Midwest nostalgia of fall,” this second one shifts to “a relaxed coastal sensibility,” per collection notes. Richie and Kasell take road trips around New England to collect antiques often, they told Fashionista during the preview. “A lot of those pieces are what inspired the collection and our first little nod to nautical,” Richie said. Those nautical themes can be seen in details such as sailboats adorning a dress collar, sailor suit-adjacent silhouettes, middy blouses and neckerchiefs.

The collection also spans evening wear, knits and swimwear – including the debut of women’s swim for the brand — and even “a little boost on our wedding collection,” as Richie put it. “It’s very broad, and we love it. We really see our world as the kind of full encompassing lifestyle of our customers. So we want to make sure that they can get their swim here, but they can also get their wedding dress [and] they can get everything in between.”
“We always say rather than designers, we like to build a world. So if you’re in the Tanner Fletcher world, you should be able to get anything you need,” Kasell added.
