Art is supposed to be human. Either a reflection of it or a longing for what wr wish it should be. Human and deep and personal.
But writer Charles Bukowski said that some writers get famous and then spend time in "cocktail parties" (a metaphor for comfort life) and miss out on the "manure pile" (the struggles 99% of the human experience).
Ive read many books from earlier works of authors that made me connect deeply because of the writing feeling real.and personal but things changed and it correlated with them getting financially successful and as Charles Bukowski said, going to "cocktail parties"
I am curious what you think about books needing to be created from a place of the commoner to be authentic
