- The absurd pairing was spotted at the Festivalcar event in Italy.
- The duo was joined by a large number of sought-after classics.
They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder but in the automotive world, we have some objective truths. For example, the Tesla Cybertruck is one of the most polarizing designs of our time, while the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione is widely considered as one of the most beautiful production vehicles. For a brief moment in time, those two words collided, as the two inherently different models parked side by side.
The fully electric pickup from America and the V8-powered grand tourer from Italy were spotted at the lawn of the Castello Cavour di Santena. The Tesla is the odd one out, as it effectively crashed an Italian Concours d’Elegance called Festivalcar.

The Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione was introduced in concept form in 2003, followed by the production version in 2007. Its sexy curves with references to the 33 Stradale were designed under the guidance of Wolfgang Egger, riding on a shortened chassis of the Maserati GranTurismo with a Ferrari-sourced V8 mounted in front mid-ship position.
On the other hand, the Tesla Cybertruck entered production in 2023, following the original concept from 2019. The full-size pickup has a stainless steel body full of straight lines and flat surfaces, and is available with a tri-motor setup producing up to 845 hp.

A personal friend and CarScoops reader attended the event and shared the photos with us. For some people, the Tesla x Alfa photo shows a stainless steel appliance parked next to a real car, but for others it reveals the fascinating variety that exists in the automotive world. In any case, the pickup looks like it was designed with a ruler while the grand tourer is a genuine sculpture.

Of course, the Beauty and the Beast were not the only vehicles that attended the 2026 edition of the Festivalcar. The 8C was joined by several Alfa Romeo family members such as the 2uettottanta concept, the 4C, the Giulia GTAm, the Giulietta Sprint, the Spider, and the original Giulia.

The long list of models included several Ferraris like the 275 GTB/4, the F50, the F355, the 512 TR, as well as the modern Amalfi and 849 Testarossa, with the Luce skipping the event.

Among the Lancia models we spotted a Stratos HF, a Flavia Coupe, and an Aurelia B20 GT. There were also more than a few Maseratis, the Bertone Runabout concept, and a Lamborghini Miura that turned heads at the narrow streets of Revigliasco Torinese, later joined in the lawn by a purple Revuelto.

Besides exotics, visitors were able to check out the original Fiat Topolino from 1936 with the modern heavy quadricycle bearing the same name. In the official video, we even caught a glimpse of the Topolino-based Top. L speedster, a one-off created by Lapo Elkann and Fabrizio Giugiaro.
Italian brands might have had the upper hand in terms of representation, but there were also classics from other regions like the Jaguar E-Type, and a few examples of the original Porsche 911. We also spotted a black Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI parked right next to the F50, and the limited-production Nissan GT-R 50 blending Japanese craftmanship with Italian design.
