TVS Motor Company (TVSM) took center stage at the recent Wheeltek 50th Anniversary Exhibition with the launch of its new electric motorcycle, the TVS iQube.
This futuristic-looking scooter goes up against 125cc gasoline-powered models in terms of size and performance. The iQube packs two 3.5kWh lithium-ion batteries that provide juice to the electric motor that produces 6.17hp (4.6kW) and 140Nm of torque. The TVS iQube can do 0-40kph in 4.2sec and reach speeds of up to 82kph. It promises a real-world range of 115km, and with the standard 950W portable charger, it can recharge from zero to 80% in 2hr55min.

The TVS iQube also gets a seven-inch TFT display, a 32-liter underseat storage, and reverse parking assist features. It comes in Starlight Blue and Mercury Grey and is priced at P99,800. Each purchase comes with a five-year or 60,000km warranty, whichever comes first.

During the launch, TVS also previewed its other electric motorcycle, the Orbiter.
