We don't always have to act seriously. It's fine to be a girly girl!

When I was a kid, I remember hating the color pink. As if there was something in it that made it repulsive, and I wasn't able to see it without feeling sick. I hated it so much. And so it was pretty hard to find clothes for me, as most of the clothing for little girls is usually just pink. That made me feel different and weird. I liked a bunch of other things that girls liked, but everyone only remembered that I hated pink. My dad decided to start buying me clothes that were more typical for boys, with superhero designs. I loved them. But some people looked at me weirdly when I wore them.

Nowadays, I still hate pink, is not as bad as it was, but I won't usually wear it. Now it is much easier to find clothes of my liking without having to go to the men's section at clothing stores. I found a bunch of different girly things that I liked. Now most people will say that I'm a girly girl, but that wasn't true during my childhood. Getting to be a part of that is actually rewarding. I have more friends who I can talk to and different activities we like to do together that are usually going to be considered too girly.

And that is the best part. Embracing the fact that some activities are "too girly". Because being too girly doesn't mean being dumb. It just means liking something that most men wouldn't particularly like. So embrace it. I actually prefer spending time with my girlfriends than my boyfriends. Also, not every man dislikes this type of thing. So embrace it, and be free from some weird stigma that is just making you feel uncomfortable about doing something that you actually enjoy taking part in.
