Nintendo, Hire This Man is a sarcastic expression and memetic catchphrase used to mock overly realistic or untooned mods and renders of Nintendo characters in Unreal Engine, and those that praise the modders as superior to the original game developers and their art styles. The meme first appeared on 4chan in mid-2018, spreading online over the following years.
As the meme spread in the 2020s, the catchphrase was also adapted to refer to other companies using the phrasal template "X, hire this man," with "X" being replaced with a developer or publisher such as Valve.
