What better time of the year to talk about all of our spooky stories than Spooky Week itself?
There's only a week left until Halloween, and our decorations are up, the party invitations are already sent (or received, if you're not hosting), and our costumes are hanging in our closets until it's time to put them on. The jack-o'-lanterns are carved, the candies to give to the kids trick-or-treating are already bought, and all that's left is to sit down and wait until the day finally comes. But what do we do in the meantime? After all, we're already filled with the spooky spirit, and we don't want it to get cold, so how do we keep the scary adrenaline in our systems until next Saturday? Well, there are a few options.
First, and an old-time favourite: horror movies! There are so many classics we can turn to to keep our scary moods up. No matter how many times we've seen them, we always fall for the jump scares. And if you're not a fan af true horror, that's no problem! We can scale down a little bit and choose something along the suspense lines. The Haunting of Bly Manor is a favourite of mine, and yes, it could be qualified as horror, but don't worry; what scares you is the anticipation; there is nothing too graphic. We can always turn to Disney's Halloween movies; they have quite a few and are really good.
Or, if you prefer, telling your own weird and spooky stories will keep us all interested. It doesn't even have to be scary; all things weird and unusual are welcome!
