The FIA still hasn't made a decision about the last two races of the season (Qatar and Abu Dhabi) and has postponed it to October. If they fail to decide before the Singapore GP, it could happen that the result of the WDC is finalized prematurely by cancelling those races.
Let's say that after Singapore, Antonelli has a lead between 101 and 149 points. This would mean that (though unlikely) he can still lose the championship, as 150 points can be acquired in the remaining 6 races.
However, if the FIA cancels those last two races, that number drops to 100, and Antonelli becomes champion in the most anticlimatic way one can imagine.
I know it's pretty much won anyway, but not having the opportunity to celebrate the championship victory on the track would be pretty off-putting.
