  • The Fitbit Edge is the first repairable Fitbit.
  • Previously, Google would just offer replacements for broken Fitbit devices.
  • However, even now, the only repairable part is the battery, and there are no details about the screen’s repair.

Google has just announced the new Fitbit Edge fitness tracker, with dimensions identical to the brand’s previous narrow-screen options. This is Google’s first narrow-screen tracker since the Fitbit Charge 6 launched in 2023, and is positioned between the screenless Fitbit Air and the Pixel Watch.

Despite its (relatively) compact size, the Fitbit Edge borrows several features from the Pixel Watch, including mirroring of notifications and step-by-step directions from Google Maps. It also carries forward hardware-based features from previous Fitbit trackers, including ECG, skin temperature, SpO2, and more.
