Lexus has just given its NX a major refresh for 2027 and is set to launch the luxury compact crossover in global markets by the end of this year. So far, the new NX showcases revised styling, an interior revamp, and performance upgrades, as well. Here’s what you can expect from the new model.
The 2027 NX gets a redesigned front fascia, as well as new headlights and taillights. The daytime running lights now form two horizontal slits with black trim moving downwards from the headlights to create a triangular shape. The rest of the front end retains the model’s sharp angles, with a diamond pattern finish completing the front grille. Meanwhile, the taillights now have double-L-shaped elements and feature an illuminated Lexus logo in the center.

Moving to the interior, Lexus has given the cabin a major redesign—specifically the dashboard. The steering now features Lexus’ full logomark and its new hidden switches, the dash panel has been simplified, and the center console now gets a 14-inch multimedia display. There’s also a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and customizable ambient lighting. Lexus also adds a red and black athletic interior for the F-Sport.

To further enhance the cabin’s living-room-like design, Lexus has also added Sensory Concierge, a feature that coordinates music, illumination, climate control, seat temperature, and fragrance (yes, you read that right) to tailor the cabin to the occupant’s mood. In fact, there are five fragrances to choose from: Tenko, Keifu, Seiyo, Hanya, and Shinmei.

As for performance, Lexus has increased rigidity on some parts of the chassis and reinforced the suspension to improve ride quality. The battery placement has also been reconfigured to lower the center of gravity and improve handling and stability. The new NX also gets Lexus’ new-generation hybrid system, which the manufacturer says improves both driving and environmental performance.
The 2027 NX is available with three self-charging hybrid variants—the 300h, 350h AWD, and 350h FWD—and one plug-in hybrid variant, the 450h+. The 300h makes 195hp with its 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor, while the 350h makes 188hp and 242hp for the FWD and AWD variants, respectively. The 450h+, meanwhile, makes 322hp. Both 350h variants and 450h+ use 2.5-liter four-cylinder engines for their respective systems.
