Three people were injured after a 40ft container truck crashed on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, inward Mowe, Ogun State, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has confirmed.
In a post on its X handle on Tuesday, LASTMA said the lone crash occurred on Kara Bridge, near ENYO Filling Station, around the expansion joint.
The truck suffered brake failure before slamming into demarcation blocks and other vehicles at the exit of the bridge.
The three casualties were taken to an emergency centre for medical attention. The entire carriageway inward OPIC was initially cordoned off, with counterflow traffic measures introduced to manage movement.
LASTMA personnel, police officers from Isheri, and officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps were deployed to the scene.
In a later update, the agency confirmed that recovery operations had been completed and the roadway fully cleared.
