Two men in their 30s have been charged by police after separate sexual assaults last month in the same area of the downtown core.
Toronto Police said the first arrest related to an incident on Oct. 19 in the Church-Gloucester Sts. area of the downtown core, where the suspect allegedly approached the victim at Barbara Hall Park and provided them with illicit substances.
Cops said the suspect took the victim to a private residence and allegedly provided them with more illicit substances before sexually assaulting them.
Waleed Ameen Adam Abdelrahman, 33, of Toronto, was arrested on Oct. 26 and charged with sexual assault.
Police believe there may be more victims and urged anyone with information to contact investigators at 416-808-7474.
Cops said a second unrelated arrest was made after a sexual assault on Oct. 31 in the Yonge St.-Wellesley St. E. area, where the victim had been picked up by a rideshare vehicle at about 9:50 p.m.
They said the victim sat in the front seat and was allegedly sexually assaulted by the driver. When they arrived at their destination, the victim tried to exit the vehicle but was allegedly prevented from leaving and sexually assaulted again.
Cops said the victim was eventually able to exit the vehicle without her purse before the driver allegedly pursued and assaulted her once more.
Sahib Brar, 32, of Brampton, has since been charged with forcible confinement and two counts of sexual assault.
Investigators believe there may be additional victims in this case as well and urged anyone with information to contact them at 416-808-2200.

Durham Regional Police are probing “isolated” Sunday shootings in Ajax and Pickering.
Police said the first incident was reported at about 2:30 a.m. in Chalmers-Blackburn Cres. area, where possible gunshots were heard, before a resident found damage to a home, a garage and two parked vehicles.
Officers later found “several” shell casings on the roadway in front of the residence, although no physical injuries were reported despite three adults being home at the time.
Cops also responded to reports of a residence and two vehicles being struck by gunfire later that night in Pickering.
Police said the incident happened around 8:25 p.m. in the Shadybrook Dr.-Edgewood Rd. area after the victim reported hearing “multiple gunshots” outside of their residence and contacted law enforcement.
Investigators found “several” shell casings on the roadway there as well and that the home and two parked vehicles had been damaged.
No physical injuries were reported.
Investigators are searching for a lone suspect who was wearing black clothing at the time and approached the residence on foot before discharging “multiple rounds” at the vehicles. They then fled on foot.
Investigators said they believe both shootings were isolated incidents and asked anyone with information on either case to contact the West Division criminal investigations branch at 905-579-1520, Ext. 1905.
