Here's an unusual wallet by South Korean leathermaker Eriist:

You've seen the spring-steel closure on coin purses before. That's not the notable bit. The translucent material of the wallet isn't plastic, liked you'd suspect; it's actually made out of sheepskin. (In the 2000s, tanners figured out how to create thin, translucent leather—from both bovine and ovine leather—pioneered in part by industrial designer and artist Sruli Recht.)

Eriist says the wallet above is in the pipeline, but at press time hadn't announced a release date nor a price. In the meantime, if a translucent leather wallet is your thing, Atelier Skn offers one.
