Toronto Police are looking for three suspects who allegedly ransacked an apartment in Scarborough last month and made off with “several luxury items.”

Cops said the robbery happened in the Finch Ave. E-Warden Ave. area on the evening of Aug. 16.

Police said a lone male suspect knocked on the victim’s apartment door, claiming to be delivering a package.

The victim instructed the suspect to leave the package at the door, and the suspect left the area.

But when the victim opened the door to retrieve the package, police said three suspects forced their way into the apartment and “ransacked the apartment before fleeing with several luxury items.”

They allegedly left in a white third-generation Acura RDX.

Police describe the first suspect, who initially knocked on the apartment door, as approximately 20 years old with a thin build, medium-length black hair, and a stubble beard. He was wearing a construction shirt with a black, long-sleeved shirt underneath, and was carrying a red book or folder. He was not wearing gloves or a mask.

The second suspect is described as about 30 years old with a medium build. He was seen wearing a grey Reebok hoodie, black pants, a black ski mask, and black gloves. He was also carrying a red GoodLife gym bag.

The third suspect is described as about 30 years old with a large build. He was seen wearing a black Nike hoodie, black track pants, a black ski mask, and white gloves.

Police said the suspects are considered dangerous and advised anyone who sees them not to approach them and to call 911 immediately.

Man accused of torching cars outside MP’s home arrested again

A man accused of deliberately setting vehicles ablaze at a Scarborough MP’s home last month is facing more charges linked to an arson investigation in Ajax.

Toronto Police said on Aug. 24 at around 4:19 a.m., Durham Regional Police responded to a fire call in the Rossland Rd. W. and Church St. N. area, where a fire was allegedly set on an unoccupied home.

Police said the home was destroyed, with neighbouring homes suffering significant damage.

It added that one of the neighbouring homes was occupied at the time, but the residents were able to safely flee the home.

Police said other homes in the area were doused in an accelerant but did not ignite.

Following a joint investigation with between the Toronto Police and Durham Regional Police, investigators were able to identify the suspect as Roshvin Crofton, 24, of Ajax.

He was arrested and charged on Monday and is facing a slew of charges including, possession of property obtained by crime not exceeding $5,000, two counts of breaking and entering to commit, two counts of arson or explosion causing property damage, and breach of probation.

Crofton was previously accused of setting three vehicles afire outside the home of Scarborough MP Salma Zahid.

Man charged with assaulting parking enforcement officer: Cops

A Toronto man has been charged after allegedly assaulting a parking enforcement officer in the King West neighbourhood Tuesday evening.

Toronto Police said a parking enforcement officer had just issued a parking ticket on a vehicle in the Wellington St. W. and Portland St. area when the driver approached the officer and allegedly assaulted them several times.

Cops said the parking enforcement officer was not injured.

Police said the suspect fled the scene, but was arrested shortly after at another location.

Rohan Hutchinson, 47, has been charged with four counts of assaulting a peace officer.

Shots fired in Scarborough plaza

A business at a Scarborough plaza was hit by gunfire early Wednesday morning.

In a post of X , Toronto Police said officers had responded to a report of a shooting at a commercial plaza in the Steeles Ave. E.-Markham Rd. area at around 2:24 a.m.

Officers at the scene found evidence of gunfire and damage to the windows of a business.

Police said there were no reported injuries.
