MANILA – Government leaders proposing an infrastructure project need to use “predictive government” tools in choosing sites and setting priorities, a commission urged. The Climate Change Commission (CCC) on Tuesday, September 15, pushed for using climate projections and risk assessments in policymaking and infrastructure decisions. CCC Vice Chairperson and Executive Director Robert E.A. Borje said that the Philippines must turn climate forecasts and disaster risk information into concrete decisions on infrastructure projects. The country has joined the Coalition for Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (CDRI).
