It was a close call for two state troopers in Ohio who were almost hit by a suspected impaired driver while they were conducting a field sobriety test on a another driver.
The incident was captured on video shared by the Ohio State Highway Patrol, which showed a vehicle barrelling toward the trio and missing one of the officers who was standing at the side of the road by a hair.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said in a Facebook post that no one was injured during the incident, which happened in Toledo in the early hours of Oct. 24.
In the video, the two stunned state troopers quickly get into their vehicles to pursue the fleeing car.
Once they locate the alleged driver, an officer tells the man, “You almost ran us over, man. What’s going on?”
The man explains that he was distracted by his radio when the crash happened.
Suspicious, the other state trooper asks, “What drugs did you take?” adding, “You can’t even stand up straight.”
The video then shows the officers conducting field sobriety tests on both the man and a female driver who was initially pulled over. Both of them were arrested for impaired driving.
