VinFast has soared in popularity in markets the world over with its vast lineup of electrified vehicles that have captivated customers near and far amid this fuel crisis. In the Philippines, the brand has leapfrogged the competition en route to becoming one of the country’s leaders in the BEV segment.

What many do not know, however, is that VinFast’s rise can also be attributed to the success of the Vietnamese carmaker’s mother company, Vingroup. Vingroup has shown significant and consistent growth in the past year, so much so that it has skyrocketed to 340th among Time’s World’s Best Companies 2026, up 477 places from its ranking in 2025.

Time is one of the world’s leading magazines with a history of over 100 years. Over the century, it has established its voice and influence as the kind that shapes public discourse. Time’s rankings are based on data from global market research company Statista. The evaluations are based on revenue growth, employee satisfaction, and sustainability transparency—all three areas wherein Vingroup excels across all its businesses.

Looking at the bigger picture, Vingroup saw a 72% year-on-year increase in revenue in 2026. It recorded a consolidated net revenue of VND 222.9 trillion, with growth in industrial manufacturing and real estate.

Employee satisfaction was also one of Vingroup’s strongest points in 2026, jumping 496 places to 398th in the global rankings. Given the fact that the company has a workforce of about 400,000 across 12 different countries, this speaks volumes about how Vingroup puts equal emphasis on its people as it does on its enterprises.

But perhaps Vingroup’s true strength is in sustainability transparency. In all of its many ventures, the company contributes to the development of sustainable urban and living ecosystems that create long-term value for society.

Through Vinhomes, Vingroup sets a high benchmark for large-scale urban developments. Its ESG++ urban model sets environmental, social, and governance factors as its three main pillars, with the addition of regeneration and resilience.

Vingroup is also enabling regional connectivity in Vietnam through the high-speed railway networks under VinSpeed and energy projects under VinEnergo. These railways will run through key areas in the country, bolstering the public transportation system. It will give tourism a boost and can potentially open many doors in its wake.

The Vietnamese giant also has a stake in the two-wheeler market through VinFast. Apart from its electrified four-wheelers, VinFast also has e-motorcycles that utilize the brand’s swappable batteries. These e-scooters recently arrived in the Philippines, aimed at providing Filipino riders not just practical and more affordable options but also greener ones.

VinFast remains one of the few carmakers that offers a subscription-based charging system for its electric vehicles, whether for cars or motorcycles, enabling a different level of flexibility among owners. It has a steadily growing EV charging network across the Philippines, with more charging points and battery-swapping stations on their way.

The Vietnamese carmaker also has its unique Residual Value Guarantee (RVG) Program, wherein it sets predetermined values for all VinFast vehicles depending on their conditions. This program offers customers the chance to sell their vehicles back to VinFast at these predetermined prices.

It is with these products and services that Vingroup ultimately helps facilitate further economic growth in countries where it operates.

Vingroup is the only Vietnamese company to have qualified for Time’s World’s Best Companies list, and it’s done so for two years straight at that. In and of itself, that is worth the applause—even more so is the rate at which Vingroup jumped in the prestigious rankings.

Prior to this, other Vingroup brands had already received recognition from Time. VinFast, specifically, was previously recognized in the TIME100 Most Influential Companies 2024 and Asia-Pacific’s Best Companies of 2025. This most recent accolade reinforces Vingroup’s commitment to quality and consistency in all of its business arms across various industries.
