As the Philippine market gets more familiar with Denza and the broader BYD family, we mustn’t forget that the Chinese carmaker has another card up its sleeve: Yangwang. It’s the brand behind one of the fastest production cars to date, and the swimming SUV you’ve probably seen on social media.
That then brings us to the imminent arrival of the Yangwang Altior, an all-new upmarket sedan. The Altior is set to make its debut in Dubai on November 5, with an elongated, boxy design, coach doors, and intricate lighting patterns.

If that sounds familiar, then you already have an idea of the kind of fight Yangwang is looking for. The gloves are up, and its sights are set on the Rolls-Royce Ghost and Phantom sedans.

We don’t have a lot of details about the Altior so far, but from the rest of the Yangwang lineup, we can infer that it’ll probably be electrified in some way. It could have a fully electric powerplant or a range-extended system, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it were offered with different powertrains and bespoke configurations. This is Yangwang, after all.

The silhouette also shows what appears to be a LiDAR assembly, suggesting autonomous driving capabilities and advanced safety technology. And that’s about all we know.
Thankfully, we won’t have to wait too long to see what the Altior is all about. As November 5 draws closer, let us know what you think of Yangwang’s ultra-luxury sedan so far. The comments section is yours.
