I can't stand one more situationship, seriously. I know every line, every possible outcome, every feeling you feel when you don't get a text back. I recall the specific nervousness when somebody who used to text you all day suddenly goes cold. The excuses people who are not interested typically use: 'I'm busy with work', 'I'm going through a lot right now', 'I want to focus on myself'. Look, I don't want to go through that rollercoaster again, and it's my call.
I guess I'd rather be alone forever; I truly do. The last time I got my heart broken, I decided I wasn't going to try anymore, and for now, it has been great. Trust me, I know it sounds depressing, but I live a tranquil life right now. I'm not waiting for any texts; my heart can't be shattered if I see someone with another girl. Nobody can reject me because I'm not out there anymore.
I'm not saying I will go on like this forever; I'll probably change my mind, but for the moment, this is fine. I want to clear my system before jumping into something new. Maybe I'll learn how to decode whether something will turn into a situationship from the get-go, and it will save me some trouble.
I guess, in the end, it's all about self-esteem; if you appreciate yourself enough, you naturally gravitate towards those who amplify your energy and make you feel seen and cherished. Sometimes we have to take care of that before we expose ourselves again, because there are tons of insane things out there.
