I find it fascinating that I have photographed kingfishers countless times, yet every encounter still feels exciting.

At first glance, it might always look like the same subject. But when you look closer, you start noticing the differences: a juvenile, a male or female, a unique body position, different light or a moment you have never captured before.

That is what makes photographing the same species again and again so special to me. No animal, encounter or image is ever truly the same.
