This is something that I say from lived experience. It's something that I know, that I say with confidence, something that works. Cat memes are the best cure for sadness. It takes a minute, maybe less, to scroll through a few and have your mood be uplifted. Everyone on the internet knows this, not just me. It's why cats go viral everywhere and all the time. Because people see them, people smile, and people share, making more people smile.
Even I, someone whose job it is to write about cats every single day, haven't gotten sick of cat memes. I was worried when I started working here.
