This is something I've seen on the Internet lately, I've seen a lot of people calling painting brick "horrible", "ugly", "modernist" , "suburban", and "destructive".
This is odd to me because in my area, painted brick is a cherished and beautiful part of many of the local historic districts and a key part of their character. Is this not common elsewhere, is painted brick really that bad?
