Xpeng has been known to wear many hats. The brand first made headlines as a flying-car company, and more recently, it’s been touted for its advancements in software development and artificial intelligence. However, the Philippines will know Xpeng as the newest provider in smart mobility.

Locally, Xpeng will introduce itself with the L03 compact crossover and the seven-seater X9 MPV—two new energy vehicles, outfitted with Xpeng’s latest driving technology and dressed in luxury. As the pair are positioned in different market segments, they ensure that the unique Xpeng experience is available to Filipino car buyers of all kinds.

Young professionals looking to enhance their everyday driving, families in need of a safe and comfortable people-carrier, and everyone in between can look to Xpeng for modern, refined options. Xpeng Philippines revealed that the L03 crossover will start at P2.058 million, while the tech-filled X9 will sticker for P4.058 million—effectively undercutting many fully electric luxury MPVs.

Future-proof technology and hardware

As mobility innovations evolve rapidly, Xpeng ensured that its vehicles have been future-proofed for the era. Each product is equipped with comprehensive camera systems, internal processing hardware, and radar setups capable of over-the-air updates that can unlock higher-functioning capabilities.

With that, the brand’s Vision-Action-Language 2 self-driving technology can be seamlessly integrated when the time is appropriate, along with other autonomous features. What sets Xpeng’s tech apart from the rest is its real-time processing of present motoring conditions. The cameras and radar can take the weather, the state of the road, and even traffic enforcers into consideration as the onboard AI operates the car. However, that’s not to say that current Xpeng vehicles aren’t already on the cutting edge.

Interested buyers in the Philippines will get the Xpeng Next Generation Pilot suite of advanced safety systems on local units. Functions like adaptive cruise control, automated parking assistance, and traffic sign recognition are already baked in, while higher variants with Xpeng’s Turing AI chips will be ready for even more robust features. In fact, the top-of-the-line Ultra variants are equipped with multiple AI chips, ensuring that Xpeng vehicles purchased today will be ready for the innovations of tomorrow.

Simple and comfortable luxury

Xpeng’s distinct driving experience is founded on a synchronous integration with AI, software, and engineering. The cockpits of the L03 and X9 have minimal physical controls, as most of the vehicle’s settings can be configured through voice commands or an easy scroll on the steering wheel.

While tactile buttons are sparse, each physical interaction gives a satisfying click or tap, thanks to a wealth of premium materials and sturdy build quality. Both the L03 and X9 are dressed in leather, with other soft-touch fabrics covering the cabin. Audio setups can feature up to 27-piece speakers, adding another layer of luxury to the Xpeng experience. These components rival those of offerings in higher price brackets.

Heating and cooling seats soothe the front passengers, while a vast head-up display helps drivers keep their eyes on the road. Another standard item between the L03 and the X9 is the wide main screen that houses Xpeng’s in-house vehicle software. The Chinese carmaker also prides itself on offering a navigation system that’s been embedded with Google Maps, which should give drivers confident estimates on driving range and routes.

These advanced comforts are meant to be enjoyed for extended periods of time, especially with the L03 and the X9 offering ranges upwards of 500km. For longer trips, a plug-in hybrid version of the L03 will be available and will remain under the speculative pricing.

A partner in personal mobility

Xpeng vehicles are equipped for the present and the future, ready to adapt to the needs of Filipinos for years to come. That readiness is wrapped in clean colors and silhouettes that aren’t likely to go out of style.

Multiple variants of these Xpeng vehicles will be available, immediately making the lineup worthy of a car buyer’s consideration. Six dealerships are also slated to open before the end of the year as Xpeng prepares to meet buyers where they are. Meanwhile, in its home market of China, the brand continues its work in developing aircrafts, autonomous driving, and other innovations in mobility. The L03 and the X9 mark only the start for Xpeng in the Philippines, and we can expect to see more from all its hats over time.
