Interested to learn about other clubs history with dodgy deals as we (West Ham) have plenty
1) Tevez and Mascherano - werid third party ownership deal because their agent Kia Joorabchian was in talks to buy the club
2) Sam Allardyce - Big Sam is on record saying he signed certain players because he would get a cut of the agent fee e.g Kevin Nolan, Abdoulaye Faye and Joey O'Brien
3) Jordan Hugill - Was signed for 10M from Preston after 8 goals in 27 games. Turned out David Moyes's brother Kenny was involved in Hugill's agency and helped make the deal so its safe to assume David took some of that fee. Hugill only ever made 3 appearances for the club
4) Nuno - We splashed 50M in Jan on Pablo and Taty, Both were Jorge Mendes clients. Nuno has previously worked with Jorge Mendes in the past but this was such a clear overpay for 2 strikers. He then proceded to play Pablo in AM for the rest of the season despite never playing there in his career.
Most dodgy deals usually have some things to do with agents. The Harry Redknapp era was before my time but you can imagine that was also rife with some dodgy deals.
